- wir eröffnen die Freiluftsaison, da wir direkt einen Durchbruch nach draußen haben werden
- der Hund liegt mit gebrochenem Genick im Flur
- die Ballkanone wurde in Bruchteilen einer Sekunde in ihre Einzelteile zerlegt

ich habe ja das Foto in die Galerie eingestellt, wurde mir geschickt, ohne backgroundinfo...hat mir ja keine Ruhe gelassen, also hier die Geschichte:
Happened at 5am this morning. I was traveling southeast on Bristow Rd (VA619) when I encountered a roadblock for a downed tree on powerline so I backtracked and took the first road southbound that connected where I needed to go. I was going kinda slow (actually way slower than I would have been if it was sunny and dry) because it was a new road to me and the roads were wet/dark. I came to the bridge that you can see in the photos and there was no water over the bridge then the instant i got the other end of the bridge to what looked just like wet pavement, SPLOOSHURGLE.... I was in 3 feet of water and water was pouring in the doors. I had time to roll down the window and escape before the electrical died but the engine ingested all the water it needed in the first strike.
I didn't see the puddle at all, let alone purposefully try to ford it... Just cruisin along and splash-dead.
On the way out I grabbed my laptop bag, camera bag, phone, and climbing rope but left a bunch of important crap... Was freezing cold and I was now soaked so had to get out quick but on the way I tied my rope to the towhook and then tied it off to the bridge that was still above water. My camera bag had filled with water already so the camera is probably a loss and the phone got doused bad so I had to walk back up the road and find a house to make a phone call or three.
Roommate came and picked me up... went home, dealt with insurance, etc, and then went back to meet towtruck only to find the water had risen another 2 feet or so, almost completely submerging the entire vehicle. My tied off rope was now under a foot of water but the free end was still tied to my rope bag which floated a bit and allowed me to locate it. The tow truck driver (highly insane) actually was eager to pull it out... I was not in much of a hurry to get into the water, myself but he was gung ho, so I pulled on the hip waders and showed him where the rope was and he actually pulled my car out with my climbing rope... I was able to salvage everything except:
iPod
p&s digital cam
SLR digital cam
blackberry
a couple books
a bunch of papers
the whole car
I had a few bags and duffels in there from the weekend with like dayhiking gear and clothes and all that stuff is dryable... ugh. I think I'm gonna go check out Mazdas.
nope, i was not hurt, but i was surprised as ****. The water line was right at the end of the concrete bridge and completely invisible to me. Just looked like wet pavement.engine definitely hydrolocked. never even had a chance to kill it before it sucked itself to a stop. the tranny... well, they are not sealed - vents and all so it's probably full of water.not at all. It went from 0 depth to 3 feet in about 1 second. Surprised the **** out of me.I would never drive through water more than about 6" deep as I'm mortified of stinky upholstery and thermal shock.it's actually a 2006.

Der arme Tropf ist doch auf der Straße gefahren, er hatte wohl nicht erwartet, dass das Wasser so tief ist. In der Gegend wurden ganze Häuser überschwemmt und Straßenteile weggerissen, im zweiten Vid zeigen sie das doch sehr schön und der Knabe sagt auch was dazu.
