This race car started life as a Class 5 unlimited car which is based on a VW style body and suspension. The unlimited class lets you run any motor as long as it does not exceed 2.5L and is NA, so it was a perfect fit for one of my Subaru FB2.5 experiments. SOA asked us if we could design a body to resemble a Crosstrek so we tossed the VW body and built the one you see in the photos. This season has been a test to see how the motor performs and if it is capable of beating the other 4 cylinder motors used in the class.
